Overview

New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), offers an integrated approach to education, clinical care, and research, aiming to improve human health. RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes focused on cancer, neuroscience, biotechnology, environmental health, and health‑care policy.

The Toosizadeh Lab in the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate to work on translational projects that combine biomechanics, machine learning, exergaming, and mobile health technologies. The role involves developing and validating wearable‑sensor models to enhance human movement, rehabilitation, and fitness engagement.

• Conduct research in aging, balance, fall rehabilitation, app developmentิก , and biomechanics.
• Perform data post‑processing.
• Program using MATLAB, Python, and Java этих or Kotlin (for Android).
• Publish peer‑reviewed journal articles.
• Present research findings at national and international Clas.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Adhere to Rutgers’ compliance policies, including the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• PhD in biomechanics, kinesiology, biomedical engineering, computer science,  closely related field.
• Experience with
  
  FAULT motion analysis, fNIRS/EEG, wearable sensors, or signal processing.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or Java/Kotlin (for Android).
• Passion for digital ydych, fitness, and rehabilitation.
• Preferred: background in machine learning/deep learning.

Lab setting and fully on‑site work arrangement.

Minimum: $20,000;
Mid‑range: $90,000;
Maximum: $200,000 (subject to qualifications, experience,.dec and grant funds).
