Join Bayer as a Primary Care Sales Consultant in the Newark / Paterson, NJ metro area. This role focuses on implementing sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal and upcoming menopause products, driving demand, clinical education, and sales across primary care physicians in community settings.

- Build and develop professional relationships with primary care providers and pharmacy staff within assigned customers.
- Drive utilization of approved CV and menopause products, working closely with the Customer Squad to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs.
- Leverage expertise in diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitors, and cross‑functional activities to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
- Provide strategic and tactical input to commercial colleagues regarding territory, area, and regional planning.
- Develop and implement effective customer‑specific business plans; communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
- Prioritize time to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
- Understand assigned customers’ product and business needs, meeting those needs while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards.
- Anticipate barriers to achieving goals and propose responsible solutions.
- Handle customer objections effectively and exceed expectations; occasionally train others in the region.
- Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency.
- Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations, applying a high ethical standard in daily work.
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes, in lieu of a degree.
- Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience.
- Proven track record in developing long‑standing relationships with customers.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and fostering an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., vaccinations, trainings).
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of successful pharmaceutical/biotech/medical sales experience in competitive markets.
- In‑depth knowledge in cardiovascular, diabetes, and/or menopause disease states.
- Product launch experience.
- Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
- Virtual sales experience.
- Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.
