In-Home Veterinarian

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare in New York City and surrounding areas invites compassionate veterinarians to join our dedicated team. The role involves providing in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets, while building meaningful relationships with pet families and local veterinary clinics.

• Provide in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.
• Guide families in end‑of‑life decisions for their pets.
• Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their care.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS).
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted.
• Physical capability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday.
• Comfortable with prolonged driving.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and steady hands while using medical tools.
