Pay Range: $20.99 – $26.32 per hour
Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. Compensation will depend on factors such as educational background, skills, and professional experience.
Provides basic, direct patient care, taking into account specific needs related to patient age. Assumes responsibility for patient care as a member of the health care team under guidance from a registered nurse. All care is provided in compliance with department policy, procedure, and standards of care.
Qualifications- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association only
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Effective communication skills and basic math skills
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs
Preferred:
- Previous Nursing Assistant experience and/or successful completion of two Registered Nurse accredited clinical courses and/or completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Event 3p–11:30 pm
- Every other weekend required; weekday schedule varies by department needs
- Part‑Time
- Mandatory Orientation
- Participates in assessment of patient needs and communication with the health care team
- Participates in staff, patient and/or family education to a degree consistent with personal knowledge base
- Participates in unit Quality Improvement activities
- Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age‑specific needs and provide age‑specific treatment and care
