Responsibilities- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
- Maintain safety in practice and apply evidence-based practice; communicate with and utilize resource persons and programs to advance knowledge of the patient care team.
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address each patient s needs.
Required:
- ASN or Nursing Diploma from a nationally accredited school
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills
Preferred:
- BSN from a nationally accredited school
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
Certifications and Licenses
Required:
- Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Day Shift, 36 per week
- Full Time
- Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Provide nursing care within the scope of practice and comply with ethical standards.
- Ensure safety and advance knowledge through communication with the care team.
- Report safety issues and medical errors as identified.
- Know the patient population served.
- Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately and collaborate with other providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
- Act as an interdisciplinary team manager and apply the nursing process to individualize care.
