Salary$ - $ per year (anticipated annual figure for New Jersey)
Job Summary- The APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates emergent inpatient care through collaboration with the attending Physician.
- The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the practice policies and procedures of the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee.
- Demonstrates an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in routine activities.
- Provides effective coordination of patient care aspects.
- Performs appropriate assessments and treatment for patients.
- Interprets laboratory/diagnostic testing accurately.
- Performs basic bedside procedures such as central line removal, feeding tube insertion, and other similar tasks.
- Exhibits strong organizational skills, clear communication, and effective time management.
- Performs duties independently while coordinating care with bedside nurses, attending physicians, and consulting providers.
- Interacts compassionately with patients across diverse care settings.
- Identifies areas for improvement in policies or patient care, initiates change, and educates involved parties.
- Communicates regularly with nursing staff regarding patient care issues.
- Explains procedures to patients thoroughly before testing.
- Provides appropriate patient teaching as needed.
- Acute care certification preferred.
- FCCS certification preferred.
- 1 to 2 years acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Current APN or PA certification.
- Current New Jersey state license and DEA.
- Current BLS and ACLS required.
