Assistant Director Patient Care (RN)

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center – Cardio Thoracic ICU – Night shift – Full Time – Pay: $ - $ per year.

• BSN
• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license with NJ endorsement
• BLS from the American Heart Association
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
• Critical Care experience (preferred)

• Night shift, 36 hours
• Full time
• Monday – Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Assure safety in practice and apply evidence‑based practice by maintaining knowledge of patient population served.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Consistently set and evaluate priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Assist in interviewing staff, hiring staff, staff schedules, payroll duties, yearly evaluations and disciplinary actions.
