Job Opportunity – Pediatric Registered Nurse – New Jersey

Start Date: February 9, 2026
Location: Newark, New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week contract, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), patient ratio 1:5

Highlights:

• General pediatrics unit with specializations in hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and surgical care
• Chemotherapy and oncology experience required; work with diverse pediatric populations including neonates, infants, and adolescents
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• 31-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Float opportunities to PICU and NICU for appropriate assignments based on skill set
• First-time travelers welcome; locals accepted at the same rate

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years of pediatric nursing experience required
• Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• APHON, NRP, and OCN certifications preferred
• General pediatrics experience is mandatory
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care essential
• Proficiency with EPIC charting system preferred
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during contract period
