Summary

As P2D, Managing Director
, you will own the operational, financial, and people performance of a high-volume terminal. This role carries full accountability for P&L results, safety and compliance, fleet oversight, and the leadership of both terminal employees and employee drivers. You will set the operational standard for your site—driving efficiency, building a strong talent pipeline, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

As a key leader within the P2D organization, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission to deliver reliable, scalable freight solutions to global customers while building a high-performing, safety-first culture. What You'll Do
  • Operational & Financial Leadership
  • Own full terminal P&L responsibility, driving revenue performance, cost control, and margin improvement.
  • Establish and execute operating plans aligned with company goals, customer commitments, and service expectations.
  • Review, adjust, and optimize delivery schedules and resource allocation to ensure consistent, best-in-class customer service.
  • Oversee terminal assets, including tractor fleet utilization, maintenance coordination, and capital stewardship.
  • People Leadership & Talent Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a diverse workforce of terminal employees and employee drivers, fostering accountability and engagement.
  • Build a strong leadership bench through ongoing coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Champion recruiting, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure the terminal is staffed with high-quality, safety-minded talent.
  • Approve time, attendance, and scheduling requests in accordance with policy and operational needs.
  • Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Serve as the site leader for safety, security, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to all corporate standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Implement and reinforce safety programs, audits, and corrective actions to achieve zero-incident performance.
  • Ensure all required certifications and training (e.g., hazmat, CPR/AED, regulatory compliance) are completed and maintained.
  • Continuous Improvement & Customer Focus
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing best practices.
  • Encourage frontline innovation by empowering team members to contribute ideas that improve safety, service, and productivity.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for customer service excellence, resolving escalations and strengthening long-term partnerships.
Required What You Will Bring
  • 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing P&L responsibility in an asset-based or transportation environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced, operational settings.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety, DOT, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and operational reporting tools.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience leading multi-shift operations or large terminal facilities.
  • Track record of implementing operational improvements that deliver measurable financial or service outcomes.
