General

Purpose:

Responsible for completing all janitorial jobs assigned.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
• Clean, Dust, and wipe furniture:
  Sweep, Mop or vacuum floors: empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers: empty and clean all ash trays and refill restroom dispensers.
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, vacuums, brooms mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. USE AS DIRECTED.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools on an incidental basis

• Two to three years of janitorial experience
• Ability to read and comprehend complex janitorial instructions.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and carry out detailed & involved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to distinguish cleaning chemicals
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs
• Complete Knowledge of all floor machines. (Buffer, Burnisher, Side by Side machine,)
• Ability to work night shifts
• Ability to complete additional duties as assigned

• Bending/ Squatting is required throughout the day while mopping, dusting sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
