Job OverviewThe Painter performs a variety of duties in and around the Medical Center and its affiliates concerning maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of paint, wall paper, and vinyl floor tile repair. Estimates time and materials for painting and wallpapering. Oversees daily operation of the painting department. Assists manager and supervisors with assuring coverage and work assignments.
QualificationsRequired:
- Practical painting, masonry, and vinyling experience
- Oral and written skills
- Familiar with general painting, wall covering, masonry and repair techniques
- Valid Driver’s license
- Full-Time, Day shift
- Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pm
- Provide on-call maintenance coverage for repairs and other emergencies or scheduled projects.
- Estimates time and materials for painting and wallpapering.
- Oversees daily operation of the painting department.
- Assists manager and supervisors with assuring coverage and work assignments.
- Assists manager in the estimating of supplies, labor and costs involved in painting and in-house renovations.
- Maintains an appropriate amount of stock materials necessary for continuation of all work repairs.
- Paint, stain, match colors, mix paint and stains.
- Responsible for safety and cleanliness of work area and shops.
- Paints, spackles, replace floor tile and base in a professional manner.
