Location:
Newark, NJ (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite Per Week)

Pay Rate: $65–$75/hour (depending on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on Dev Ops Engineer to join our Platform Enablement team in Newark, NJ. This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week onsite.

In this position, you will design, build, and optimize multi-tier applications across AWS and on‑premise environments. You will focus on automation, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and platform reliability — enabling feature teams to operate independently while ensuring systems remain scalable, secure, and aligned with service‑level agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AWS components for application and batch processing using EC2, ECS Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, Dynamo

    DB, Aurora Postgre

    SQL, S3, Event Bridge, and Cloud Watch
  • Support and maintain environments across AWS and on‑premise Windows servers
  • Develop automation solutions to improve platform scalability, efficiency, and reliability
Automation & CI/CD
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Git Hub Actions
  • Develop automation using Python, Ansible, and Power Shell
  • Ensure deployments meet established security and compliance standards
Monitoring & Reliability
  • Optimize performance for application and batch workloads
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues, batch processing failures, and access control challenges
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards in Splunk and Dynatrace
  • Proactively enhance platform stability and system reliability
  • Partner with feature teams, DBAs, and support engineers to validate deployments and resolve issues
  • Document deployment processes, configuration standards, and operational runbooks
  • Provide clear status updates and communicate risks to stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong hands‑on AWS experience (Lambda, S3, Step Functions, Event Bridge, ECS Fargate, EC2)
  • Experience with Postgre

    SQL and strong SQL knowledge
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, or Git Hub Actions
  • Python scripting for AWS automation
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
