Enterprise Solutions Architect at a top healthcare company.
Location:
2 days per week onsite in Newark, NJ.
Healthcare domain experience preferred. Contract to hire opportunity – no sponsorship available.
The candidate will join a team of 12 to 15 solution architects working on a 3–5 year roadmap that includes over 40 major projects aimed at transforming the organization.
Design Responsibilities
- IT innovation and participation in new technology evaluation as needed.
- Technical evaluation and selection of packaged software, including RFP creation and evaluation, and pilot of emerging technologies.
- Delivery of technology strategy, architecture, and design services in partnership with various groups within the organization.
- Enterprise‑wide technical architecture solutions and integration of architecture, business, information/data, applications, technology, solutions, and security viewpoints.
Project Responsibilities
- Conduct technology reviews and audits to ensure systems follow architecture principles, standards, and optimization for maximum efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and make decisions regarding IT design.
- Work with the Enterprise Architecture group using standard practices, principles, and building blocks for every solution.
Operational Responsibilities
- Baseline of delivery cycle time and efficiency of solution design.
- Traceability of solutions against strategic direction.
- Define and trace standard solution patterns.
Experience Required
- More than 7 years of strong development background within modern development environments and languages.
- Solid technical application design and solutions architecture background (may encompass enterprise architecture).
- Strong understanding of digital cloud technologies and environments, including AWS, Azure, Open Shift (OCP), and others.
- Experience in containerization concepts, Docker images, etc.
- Specific experience with the inner workings, design, and scaling of Containerization/Kubernetes.
- Service orchestration using Openshift (OCP) – a huge plus.
- Ability to learn and understand new technologies (e.g., Kafka) and incorporate them into designs.
- Understanding of how containers work, design, and scale.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) strategies and Docker images.
- Ability to create architectural diagrams using tools like VIZIO, DrawIO, etc.
Additional notes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage conversations.
- Solid cloud experience covering integration and implementations.
- Experience with event‑driven architecture for integrations.
- Establish data provenance and collaborate with data architects.
- Understanding of Dev Ops and CI/CD.
