Overview
The Operations & Performance team partners closely with executive leadership to define strategy and drive execution across the company’s debt recovery platform. We are deeply embedded in day-to-day collections operations, legal recovery workflows, inventory management, and performance optimization
, ensuring that data is translated into decisions that materially impact results.
This team plays a critical role in shaping how the organization allocates inventory, manages legal and operational recovery strategies, evaluates vendor performance, and reports outcomes to investors and clients.
About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Data Analyst with direct experience supporting operations within the debt collections industry
. This role is ideal for someone who understands how analytics drive real-world outcomes across collections, legal recovery, portfolio performance, and operational execution
.
You will develop reporting and insights that influence inventory strategy, legal placement decisions, operational prioritization, and executive-level planning. You will work cross-functionally with Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Technology teams and play a key role in advancing how data is used across the organization.
This is a high-visibility role with meaningful impact and the opportunity to mentor junior analysts while partnering closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards that drive collections performance, legal recovery outcomes, and inventory management decisions
- Analyze operational and legal systems of record to evaluate effectiveness of recovery strategies, workflows, and vendor performance
- Perform detailed portfolio-level and account-level analysis to support strategy refinement, escalation decisions, and prioritization
- Directly contribute to high-priority, high-visibility initiatives supporting the Executive Leadership Team
- Translate complex operational and financial data into clear insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Support investor-facing and leadership reporting tied to performance, yield, and operational efficiency
- Partner with Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable analytical solutions
- Respond to real-time data and reporting inquiries to support operational and legal teams
- Support testing, analysis, and post-implementation review of new strategies, workflows, and system enhancements
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used across collections and legal reporting
- Promote adherence to data quality management principles, including business definitions, metadata, and data lineage
- Provide relational database expertise to construct and optimize SQL queries used in analysis and reporting
- Receive ongoing mentorship from the Director of Operations & Performance
- Serve as a mentor to junior analysts, supporting analytical rigor and operational understanding
- Build strong working relationships with leaders and frontline teams across the organization
- Associates degree in a relevant field; preference for Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or Analytics
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics or performance analytics within the debt collections, legal recovery, or financial services industry
- Strong understanding of collections operations, legal workflows, inventory strategy, and performance metrics
- Advanced experience with SQL (MSSQL and/or Oracle); experience with Python and/or R is a plus
- Proficiency with Power BI, Excel, and Power Point
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and influence operational and strategic decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
- Prior experience in operational and legal collections environments
- Familiarity with collections and legal systems such as QLawE and/or Latitude
- Working knowledge of legal accounting concepts and legal recovery processes
- Experience operating in a regulated, compliance-driven environment

Salary Range: $75000,$85,000 annual
