About the Role
The Linen Services Associate receives, stores, collects, and distributes, tracks and transports linen (sterile, clean and/or soiled) for assigned areas throughout the hospital in a safe and efficient manner
Responsibilities- Provides patient‑centered service, maintaining a friendly, safe environment and responding promptly to customer concerns while modeling Service Excellence.
- Uses computer systems, handheld devices, or manual formsto track linen as directed.
- Stocks, distributes, and inventories clean linens and apparel in compliance with infection‑control guidelines.
- Identifies linen items needing repair or replacement and reports issues to management.
- Maintains aclean, orderly work area and equipment, including refilling and preparing linen carts and scrub machines.
- Collects soiled linenfor vendor pick‑up and verifies cleanliness and serviceability of laundered items before storage.
- Maintains required logs, records, and linen control procedures, ensuring accurate counts and proper distribution to departments.
- Adheres toUH attendance, compliance, and regulatory standards, performing additional related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to carry out the duties of the position; prior experience in institutional environmental services or linen services is preferred.

The expected salary range for this position is $ 17.63 –$ 18.67 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
