Job Opportunity – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse – New Jersey

Schedule:

13-week assignment, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday), patient ratio 1:2
Highlights:
19-bed PICU with comprehensive pediatric cardiac critical care
Primary placement in PICU with potential float to Pediatrics and NICU based on skill set
Epic charting system in a collaborative environment with full interdisciplinary support
Advanced cardiac cases including congenital heart defects, transplants, and post-surgical care
Access to state-of-the-art equipment including Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring
Every other weekend schedule allows for work-life balance
Requirements:
Active New Jersey or Compact RN license required at time of submission
Minimum 2 years of PICU critical care experience with at least 1 year of cardiac experience (must be documented on skills checklist)
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted
BLS and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Competency caring for complex cardiac patients including ASD, VSD, AV Canal Defect, valve replacements, Glenn and Fontan procedures, TOF, post-cardiac catheterization and ablations, cardiac transplant, and post-cardiac surgery patients

Experience with BIPAP/CPAP, ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care required
Proficiency with Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring
Willingness to float within skill set to Pediatrics and NICU as needed
Previous charge experience preferred
