About the Role
The primary purpose of the Receiving Clerk position is to promptly store all perishable and non-perishable supplies upon delivery in accordance with all Department of Health Regulations. Fills supply requisitions for various subunits. Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Department of Health Codes.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You’ll Do
- Adheres to University Hospital’s compliance standards, including the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. Stays current with all relevant federal, state, and University Hospital regulations, policies, and updates, and performs other related duties as assigned.
- Responds promptly to complaints or concerns and maintains professional composure while meeting or exceeding service expectations.
- Works effectively with the team to achieve customer service targets and serves as a role model for Service Excellence while respecting patient rights.
- Receives, stores, and secures all incoming supplies while maintaining proper storage procedures and sanitary conditions in accordance with Department of Health regulations.
- Accurately fills requisitions and pull sheets, and assists with daily inventories as needed.
- Maintains tight security and cleanliness of all storage areas and supports efficient work processes for both external and internal customers.
- Provides patient‑centered service by creating a friendly, welcoming, and safe environment and communicating clearly to ensure understanding.
What You’ll Bring
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write and understand English with enough proficiency to perform the duties of the position. Must be able to work inside refrigerators and freezers.

Compensation (NJ Job Transparency Law)
In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $18.46 - $19.53
