About Silver Lake Hospital
Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire an experienced per diem Pharmacist to provide our patients with pharmaceutical care.
Overview Position SummaryThe Pharmacist will be responsible for having a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services provided by Silver Lake Hospital including drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture. Interprets physician's orders for medications, compounds and dispenses prescribed drugs. Maintains records on all medication orders filled for inpatient use and computes and records charges. Responsible for evaluating pharmacological, chemical, or physical incompatibilities in physician's orders, and communicates the evaluation to physicians.
The position involves direct and indirect patient care for a population of patients between the ages of 18 and older. Age-specific experience and/or special training and/or expertise is required to serve this population.
- Valid NJ State Pharmacist License.
- Must have a working knowledge of all areas of pharmaceutical services including EMR Systems, drug distribution systems, central operations, and IV admixture.
- A minimum of one (1) year of hospital or LTACH experience.
