Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting our client in their search for an Interim Controller. The duration for this role will be three months to start, but could have longer term potential for the right candidate. This role operates on a hybrid schedule - 3 days onsite, 2 remote. Accounting experience in the nonprofit industry is a must for this role.
Accounting & Close Support- Provide hands-on support for month-end and quarter-end close in partnership with the CFO and accounting leadership, including Q1 2026 close activities.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Support expense recognition, accruals, account classification, and revenue review across multiple income streams.
- Assist in defining close responsibilities and approval workflows during leadership transitions.
- Support operating, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasting and help refine forecasting models to identify trends and risks.
- Review financial reports for clarity, assumptions, and gaps, and perform detailed Excel-based analysis.
- Assist with preparation, review, and improvement of internal financial reports and monthly variance analyses.
- Support financial reporting for senior leadership, board committees, and ad hoc requests.
- Assist with daily cash monitoring, working capital management, banking relationships, financing tools, and covenant compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- Previous and recent experience in accounting in the nonprofit industry
- Financial Edge software experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Hands on experience with accounting operations, financial reporting, and treasury functions
- Strong experience with experience with monthly close, forecasting, and cash flow management
Range: $60/hr-$70/hr
