We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Tax Department located in Newark, NJ. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and extremely flexible and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results.

The primary responsibilities of the position will include financial reporting, forecasting and compliance for Federal, International and State and Local Tax.

What You Can Expect
  • GAAP financial reporting and analysis of taxes
  • Partnering with Business Units to implement and design tax planning strategies and transactions
  • Preparation and review of Federal, International, State and Local Tax Compliance
  • Recommendations of improvements to compliance processes
What You'll Need
  • Bachelors degree in accounting or other related business disciplines
  • Corporate Tax Experience (6-7 years), financial services sector is preferred, international expertise a plus
  • Knowledge of corporate tax topics
  • Strong GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC-740/FAS 109/FIN

  • Understanding of financial service companies including Investment and Asset Management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational/analytical skills
  • Proven leadership track record
  • Solid computer skills - proficient in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint)
  • Looking for someone who is assertive, creative and proactive
  • Strong work ethic and able to partner in a team-oriented environment
  • Organized and flexible – ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines
It'd Be a Plus If You Had
  • CPA and/or Masters degree in tax or accounting
  • Corp Tax Compliance software skills
Other Comments
  • Overtime will be required, especially during peak periods
  • This is a hybrid position, associate will be required to come into the office 3 days per week

Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
