Senior Tax Analyst (Hybrid)

Prudential Financial is seeking a highly organized, responsive Senior Tax Analyst to support tax financial reporting, tax planning and analysis, and domestic tax compliance for insurance carriers. The role is hybrid with on‑site presence as determined by business needs.

• GAAP financial reporting and analysis of taxes for domestic life insurance entities (ASC 740)
• Statistical reporting and analysis of taxes based on SSAP 101
• Partner with Business Unit Actuarial on the Tax Reserve reporting and analysis on a quarterly basis
• Work with Business Unit to provide quarterly domestic life insurance entities forecast
• Prepare and review Federal Tax Compliance for domestic life insurance entities
• Recommend improvements to financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance processes

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required
• Corporate Tax/Public accounting experience 3‑5 years; financial services sector preferred
• Corporate Tax Compliance & Financial reporting software experience
• GAAP accounting for taxes: ASC‑740/FAS 109/FIN

• Understanding of life insurance taxation (SSAP 101) a plus but not required
• Understanding of financial service companies including insurance, investments, and asset management a plus
• Strong work ethic and ability to partner in a collaborative environment
• Organized and flexible; ability to manage multiple projects/assignments and meet deadlines
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational/analytical skills
• Proven leadership track record
• Solid PC skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

• CPA and/or master’s degree in tax or accounting
