Senior Quality Assurance Engineer; Manufacturing

Are you a quality-driven professional with a strong background in AS9100, ISO
9001, and FAA Part 145 standards? A confidential aerospace and defense supplier is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support and improve its Quality Management System (QMS) through audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Execute and lead internal audits to ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and ISO
  9001 standards.
• Support external audits including AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, and DCMA (U.S. Government).
• Facilitate customer audits and source inspections.
• Create and update QMS documentation:
  Quality Manual, SOPs, and Work Instructions.
• Investigate nonconformances and implement corrective/preventive actions using tools like 8D and 5 Whys.
• Provide training and guidance to internal teams on QMS processes and compliance.
• Drive process improvements using data analysis and lean/six sigma tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Inspection.
• Respond to customer complaints, coordinate resolutions, and ensure product compliance.
• Lead or contribute to audit planning and QMS performance reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience auditing and maintaining AS9100/ISO
  9001-compliant quality systems.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, FAA, or nuclear industries.
• AS9100 Internal Auditor Certification required

• Strong technical writing skills for creating SOPs, procedures, and QMS documentation.
• Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21 and Part 145 (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with ETQ Reliance is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
