Position Summary:
The Computer Science Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in Fall 2026. Exceptional candidates will be considered in all areas of Computer Science, but priority will be given tothose that can build synergies in the area of Cybersecurity, defined broadly.

We aim to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidatesat higher ranks will also be considered.

Essential Functions:
-Computer Science faculty are expected to contribute to department's undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, pursue externalfunding, and publish in top conferences and journals.
-NJIT has recently expanded its graduate programs to a satellite location in Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from the financialdistrict of Lower Manhattan in New York City, where it serves the vast pool ofworking professionals in the region. The faculty may be called upon to teach atthis location as needed.

Prerequisite

Qualifications:

-Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by Summer 2026 in a relevant discipline, and outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their abilityto conduct independent world-class research and attract external funding.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.

Bargaining Unit:
PSA

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for the assistant level position is $85,000-$120,000 and the associate level position is $100,000-$120,000. NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
