Overview
Title: BME Adjunct - Graduate Courses
Department: Biomedical Engineering
Reports To: Department Chair
Position Type: Faculty
Position Summary: The Department of Biomedical Engineering has an ongoing need for Adjunct Professors to teach a variety of graduate courses in the area of Engineering Physiology, Biomedical Signal Processing, Neural Engineering, and Advanced Biomaterials Characterization.
- Develop and deliver lectures, prepare and grade assignments, design laboratory experiments (if needed), and examination of student learning.
- Learn and use online course management system - Canvas.
- Submit grades to the registrar at the end of the semester.
M.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field such as Electrical, Chemical, and Mechanical Engineering;
At the university's discretion the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Industrial experience is an added advantage. Ph.D. preferred with previous college teaching experience.

Salary InformationIn compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668 per contact hour (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
