Bring your content expertise to an environment that encourages creative pedagogical practices. As a Department Chair, you will infuse cutting-edge intellectual practices into the curriculum and support teachers and students in engaging with the latest concepts and practices in your content area.

- Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- New Jersey Department of Education Supervisor Certificate (0106)
- New Jersey Visual and Performing Arts Teaching Certificate
- Minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience in the related content area or related experience
- Facilitate the growth and development of teachers through collaboration
- Assist in curriculum alignment, articulation, and implementation across grade levels
- Teach demonstration lessons and serve as a peer coach and mentor
- Support teachers in developing effective instructional techniques and professional behaviors
- Maintain knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Analyze student assessment data and recommend program improvements
- Report on program progress
- Perform duties as assigned by the Principal
- Monitor implementation of district content programs
- Attend in-service workshops
- Assist in integrating new technological tools and materials
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Reports To: Principal
Salary Range: $92,000 - $128,000
Employment Period: Eleven (11) months
Union Affiliation: CASA
