Responsibilities

The successful candidate will teach a range of courses including fine art, art history, graphic design, journalism, music, theater, and film and video production surveys, laboratories, studios, workshops, music instruction, upper-level courses, or graduate courses focused on specific themes or topics. duties include:

  • Preparing course material and creating/posting a course syllabus
  • Presenting material during assigned class times
  • Holding office hours and providing out-of-class time for students
  • Responding to student emails
  • Conducting and grading assessments (assignments, exams, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Submitting final grades
  • Course appointments may occur during day, evenings, weekends, off-campus, online, hybrid, remotely, or any combination as required
Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred

Certifications/Licenses

  • Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level is highly desired

Salary and Benefits

Salary Details: A minimum of $2,777 per credit

The final salary offer may be determined by factors including qualifications, experience, expertise, and availability of department funds. Considerations may include market benchmarks and internal equity.
