Position: Construction Technology / Estimating Support Specialist

Overview

We are seeking an entry-level, tech-savvy professional ideally a recent graduate with a background in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field to support the implementation and daily use of construction estimating and modeling software. This role will assist our estimating and field teams by learning, maintaining, and optimizing software tools used to prepare bids, calculate quantities, and support field operations.

This is a hands-on role with strong growth potential for someone eager to learn construction technology, modeling, and data-driven bidding processes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the implementation, setup, and ongoing use of construction software tools including InSite Earthworks, Bluebeam, and HCSS
  • Support the estimating team by using software to generate bid data, calculate volumes, and prepare quantity takeoffs
  • Work with digital plans, models, and drawings to ensure accurate data input and outputs
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure software outputs align with machine control and field usage
  • Help train internal users on software workflows and best practices as proficiency grows
  • Troubleshoot basic software issues and coordinate with vendors as needed
  • Maintain organized digital files, models, and bid documentation
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new software features and construction technology
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or recent graduate) in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software platforms
  • Comfortable working with data, models, and digital drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Interest in construction technology, estimating, and field operations
  • Exposure to construction, estimating, or civil/site work
  • Familiarity with modeling, takeoffs, or CAD-related software
  • Internship or coursework involving data analysis, modeling, or technical systems
