Position Overview

Our team is looking for an experienced construction superintendent to supervise craft employees and ensure projects are safely completed on time. As a Superintendent, you will play a key role in the success of Weeks Marine projects across the NE region of the US. This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as craft workers, job teams, and engineers.

Location

This position will be based out of our Guam or Hawaii location. Must be willing to work across Guam; assignment will be given at the time of offer.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise the crew(s) and craft workers in the application of all projects.
  • Manage productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with engineers, job teams, etc., to determine project needs.
  • Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs in assigned responsibilities.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines.
  • Coordinate and interface effectively with superintendents and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate.
  • Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
  • Keep track of material stock and orders.
  • Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in the company’s non‑harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
  • Perform additional ad‑hoc assignments per management’s direction.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must have experience and professional knowledge of heavy civil infrastructure; marine infrastructure is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have project experience with ports, docks, wharves, piers, bridges, or other waterfront structures.
  • Must be able to run multiple crews across various construction scopes.
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings and other documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
  • General computer skills required;
    Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel).
  • Organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience with cranes is preferred.
  • Must have ability to manage and inspire others.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
