Job Description:
Senior Business Development Manager – North America
As we work towards establishing our presence globally we are looking to hire a leader to build and expand the business and team there.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing Sales Strategies:
Formulate and implement effective sales strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives. - Revenue Growth:
Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and ensuring the sales team meets or exceeds sales targets. - Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
Oversee sales forecasting and reporting. Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to assess team performance and make data-driven decisions. - Sales Closure Leadership:
Drive the closing phase of the sales cycle by guiding the team through negotiations, resolving any last-minute issues, and ensuring contracts are signed to secure new business. - Strategic Partnerships:
Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances that can drive business growth and open new sales channels. - Market Analysis:
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and adjust tactics as needed. - Sales Process Optimization:
Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance sales performance. - Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate potential risks to sales performance, such as market shifts or competitive threats.
Qualifications
- 7 years+ of experience in the Specialty Chemicals sector within the relevant geographic area.
- Should be a P&L owner and a leader.
- A proven track record of successful client engagement and acquisition, ideally as a partner or senior consultant.
- Should have good commercial understanding
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated sales / business development capabilities.
