Our client is seeking a Business Affairs Departmental Assistant to support its Entertainment Originals Business Affairs team. This team partners closely with global talent agencies, production companies, studios, writers, and performers to originate and negotiate deals for original content distributed to a global audience.

This role is well-suited for someone with a legal assistant–type background who is highly organized, comfortable with business technology, and able to support a fast-paced executive and department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of Business Affairs, including calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, and document organization
  • Maintain and update deal making records using Salesforce and Airtable, tracking deal terms, negotiation status, and approvals
  • Track contract payments, payee changes, content terminations, and related updates
  • Prepare offer proposals for talent and production personnel (e.g., voiceover performers, writers, sound designers, directors, casting directors)
  • Assist across the broader Business Affairs department as needed
  • Conduct high-priority and time-sensitive research projects
  • Support data gathering, data entry, and editorial initiatives in partnership with Content and Legal teams
  • Interface professionally with external partners, including agents, attorneys, and artists
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent experience)
  • Strong proficiency with business technology, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce, Airtable, and similar tools
  • Experience working with databases and managing high volumes of information
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to build trust and rapport across multiple functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in the entertainment industry
  • Prior experience supporting a legal or business affairs team

This role requires in-office presence Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
