About This Role

The Part-Time Coordinator, Finance, Operations, & Communications, in the Office of Student Life and Leadership, supports the department’s financial, operational, and administrative functions. This position assists with budget tracking, vendor coordination, procurement of paperwork, and order management. The Coordinator also contributes to website updates, Online New Student Orientation maintenance, student staff supervision, and event staffing support.

This role supports the College’s student engagement, leadership development, and campus‑wide events while ensuring effective resource use, compliance with college procedures, and smooth daily operations across both campuses.

The Office of Student Life and Leadership produces and supports over 600 social, educational, and cultural events annually, including large‑scale programs such as New Student Orientation, the Peer Leader Program, and Commencement.

This is an ideal entry‑level role for someone looking to gain experience while needing the flexibility of a part‑time position. We’re seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented individual who enjoys balancing behind‑the‑scenes logistics and coordination with student‑facing engagement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced environment, know how to prioritize, take initiative, and values collaboration, inclusion, and teamwork.

Summary of Duties

What You’ll Do:

Primary Responsibilities Include
  • Administrative and Office Support:
    Manage event item orders and deliveries, maintain storage organization, conduct inventory checks, and coordinate travel logistics, assist with office schedule upkeep and tracking
  • Financial Tracking:
    Assist with tracking all financial processes, acquiring and tracking vendor paperwork and payment status.
  • Vendor and Payment Management:
    Serve as a vendor contact and support for order processing, timely payment coordination, and maintaining vendor lists.
  • Website and Marketing Support:
    Update office websites, student engagement platforms (Involved, Go2

    Orientation, EAB, Libby), and marketing tools. Produce the Student Life Weekly email and assist with social media efforts.
  • Event Support and Staffing:
    Serve as day‑of staff for office and collaborative events. Reserve spaces, submit set-up and IT requests, chaperone off‑campus events, and support evening/weekend programs as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key point of contact at the JSQ and NHC campuses, ensuring students receive excellent service and resources.
  • Maintain welcoming and inclusive office environments that promote student engagement.
  • Support and mentor student part‑time staff, including hiring, training, and daily supervision.
  • Collaborate with college colleagues and participate in college‑wide committees, including hiring committees.
  • Stay informed on best practices and participate in professional development, including Mental Health First Aid training.
Qualifications What You’ll Need
