Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the department of Anesthesiology at the New Jersey Medical School.

Performs a wide variety of administrative and support services within the Department of Anesthesiology/Pain Management. Assist in the planning and support of program activities and coordination of office operations.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

* Plans and schedules the work of the department's secretarial/administrative section to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment and materials within budgetary requirements.

* Responsible for personnel matters for the department/division; maintains time and attendance records, ensures timely completion of forms for Human Resources, Payroll, etc.

* Serves as principal liaision with various administrative departments and units for the University. Responsible for timely follow-up of problems and questions, and maintains a log and documentation of same.

* Oversees the maintenance of department records and ensures that files and recordkeeping systems meet the needs of the department.

* Composes correspondence, creates and maintains databases and spreadsheets as required.

FLSA Exempt Grade 21S Salary Details A minimum of $60,000.00 Minimum Salary  Mid Range Salary  Maximum Salary  Offer Information

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

* Bachelor's Degree plus two (2) years of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, supervision of staff, etc.

* Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Must be proficient in computer applications as required by the department.

Preferred Qualifications Equipment Utilized Physical Demands and Work Environment

* Physical Demands:
Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing and lifting equipment. No special vision requirements. Ability to exert or lift up to 25lbs.
