Rutgers is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Department of Anesthesiology at the New Jersey Medical School. The Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative and support services within the Department of Anesthesiology/Pain Management, assists in the planning and support of program activities, and coordinates office operations. Key duties include:
- Plans and schedules the work of the department’s secretarial/administrative section to maximize effective utilization of employees, equipment, and materials within budgetary requirements.
- Maintains personnel matters for the department/division, including time and attendance records and completion of forms for Human Resources and Payroll.
- Serves as principal liaison with various administrative departments and units for the university, following up on problems and questions and maintaining a log of issues.
- Oversees maintenance of department records and ensures that files and record‑keeping systems meet department needs.
- Composes correspondence and creates and maintains databases and spreadsheets as required.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree plus at least two years of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting, or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, and supervision of staff.
- Equivalent experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in computer applications required by the department.

Minimum salary: $58,953.00;
Mid‑range salary: $70,476.00;
Maximum salary: $83,479.00. Salary offers may vary based on qualifications, experience, and available funding.
