The Division of Enrollment Management at Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N) is dedicated to attracting, admitting, and supporting students throughout their academic journey. The division includes several key areas:
One Stop Student Services (which integrates the Office of Financial Aid and the Registrar's Office), the Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Admissions, and the Center for Pre-College Programs.

The Administrative Coordinator in the Business and Operations unit will play a vital role in daily operations and student support services. This position will provide essential administrative, operational, and strategic support within the Division of Enrollment Management ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of university finance and operations management and processes while contributing to project planning, policy development, and process improvement.

Posting Summary

Rutgers University-Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator. Reporting to the Senior Department Administrator and Supervisor.

This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:

* Supports and helps to coordinate the administrative functions and operations for the Division of Enrollment Management.

* budgeting, accounting, grant management, purchasing, business services, human resources, operations, and facilities management.

* Supports the day-to-day administration and operations of the Division of Enrollment Management, ensuring an inviting customer-friendly atmosphere for students, families, faculty, administrators, and all visitors.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

* Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis and writing

* Also requires two years of professional relevant experience preferably in a business office, government agency, or academic setting

Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Requires good communication skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheets

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with higher education and/or education

* Experience with supporting a fast-paced environment
