Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Newark, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and assisting with administrative tasks to support the accounting department. This opportunity requires precision, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable collections to ensure timely payments from customers.

- Apply cash receipts accurately to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.

- Perform month-end reconciliations for accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.

- Transfer data from paper documents into digital database systems with a high level of accuracy.

- Organize and maintain an efficient digital filing system for accounting records.

- Coordinate and oversee document scanning and electronic file conversion projects.

- Process and scan files into a digital database, ensuring accessibility and organization.

- Archive outdated files in storage or securely dispose of them following proper approval.

- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, and updating records.

- Take on additional administrative or clerical duties as assigned to support the team. Requirements - Proven experience with accounts receivable processes, including collections and reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of billing procedures and invoice processing.

- Proficiency in data entry and digital file management.

- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.

- Experience using Quick Books or similar accounting software.

- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

- Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
