Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist
On-Site | Newark, NJ | $60,000–$72,000 + Full Benefits
We’ve partnered with a well-established and growing food distribution company that supplies specialty products across multiple national brands. As the business continues to scale, they’re adding a hands-on Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to support day-to-day cash flow and customer accounts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clean, organized AR work
, steady routines, and regular interaction with customers —
without general ledger ownership or financial reporting responsibilities.
- Post and apply customer payments accurately and on time
- Manage AR aging and follow up on past-due accounts via phone and email
- Resolve billing questions and payment discrepancies with customers and Sales
- Process credit memos and account adjustments as needed
- Support month-end AR schedules and audit documentation
- Maintain accurate records while following established policies and controls
- 3+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Cash Application
- Comfortable communicating with customers regarding payments
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong follow-through
- Experience using accounting systems and Excel
