Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight of all Outdoor Pool daily facility operations, including but not limited to:
- Opening and closing the pool facility following established procedures.
- Check the pool and deck for any potential hazards. Be aware of, and promptly correct, safety concerns.
- Set up membership check-in and guest pass equipment daily.
- Address and correct any patron or staff concerns during operational hours; enforce all pool rules and regulations.
- Provide supervision and leadership to Lifeguard staff.
- Manage events and programs taking place in the Outdoor Pool facility.
- Document with detail any injuries or incidents.
- Take hourly chemical readings of the Outdoor Pool.
- Communicate with administrative staff and Lifeguards to create a cohesive and collaborative team.
- Communicate any questions, concerns, or recurring patron issues to the Aquatics & Safety Manager as necessary.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO), or ability to obtain.
- Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.
- Experience leading and managing groups of employees or students.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with diverse populations.
- Must have a positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, and commitment to teamwork.
- Ability to communicate professionally with participants, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Prior work experience as a lifeguard, head lifeguard, or pool manager.
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR for the Professional Rescuers certification - preferred, but not required.
