Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Newark. This role is part of the Application Development department, supporting innovative projects and technological advancements.
Job Title: Senior Java Developer - Newark
Location: Newark, DE
Schedule: Hybrid
Contract Length: 18‑month

- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications aligned with business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement cloud‑based solutions using Kubernetes, Open Shift, AWS, and Azure.
- Utilize monitoring tools like Dynatrace to ensure optimal application performance and reliability.
- Implement and support containerization strategies and microservices architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes following Agile methodologies.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies with a strong understanding of Spring, Spring Integration, and RESTful services.
- Expertise in container and cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Open Shift, AWS, and Azure.
- Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/SQL Server) and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Hands‑on experience with UI technologies like Angular and React.
- Familiarity with code quality tools like JUnit, Sonar, and Crucible, and monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Splunk.
