Associate Scientist; Herbicides

Kelly Science is seeking an Associate Scientist (Herbicides) for a growing research organization located in Newark, DE.

Pay: $23-26/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Full Time; 6 month contract

• Design and conduct herbicide experiments across greenhouse, growth chamber, and field settings.
• Oversee plant propagation, developmental staging, and the setup of experimental units.
• Formulate herbicides and prepare precise serial dilutions for testing.
• Operate specialized equipment to perform accurate herbicide applications.
• Execute screening protocols to assess herbicide efficacy and crop tolerance.
• Collect and interpret biological data, providing clear reports and summaries for project teams.
• Coordinate with internal teams to optimize resource management and project timelines.
• Maintain strict adherence to GLP standards, safety protocols, and research guidelines.
• Ensure the proper disposal of bioassay materials and noxious plant species according to safety regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Plant Science, Agronomy, Weed Science, Horticulture or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience in greenhouse and/or field research.
• Laboratory skills including formulation handling and serial dilution preparation
• Knowledge of herbicide application techniques, herbicide evaluation methods
