Genetic Counselor II, Prenatal​/Cancer

Christiana Care is hiring a full time Genetic Counselor to join their team.

Our Center for Medical Genomics currently has 12+ genetic counselors that provide genetic counseling across multiple service lines, including oncology, prenatal, NICU, cardiovascular, neurology and adult services.
The Center for Medical Genomics is currently recruiting for 2 Full-time Genetic Counselor to join our team.

Our genetic counselors are responsible for conducting intake screening and risk assessment, explaining the nature and scope of testing procedures and following up with results. We also provide opportunities to teach and supervise residents, fellows, undergraduate students and graduate genetic counseling students.

The genetic counselors also have opportunities to provide educational lectures to professionals as well as participate in community outreach. Educational enrichment is integral to the position with participation in journal clubs and case conferences.

This is a split position between prenatal and cancer. In addition, we have another opportunity that is also fulltime prenatal.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday: 8a - 4:30p

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling

• Certified Genetic Counselor or Board eligible

• At least 2 years of experience as a certified licensed genetic counselor maintaining a full case load and working independently with the majority of letters (95%) not needing to be reviewed.
