Position Overview
Admissions Registered Nurse – Work three 12‑hour shifts from 12 PM to 12 AM, providing exceptional patient care during critical hours. Orientation is a two‑week program held Monday‑Friday 8:30 A‑5:00 P at the Rockford Center, a 138‑bed mental health facility in Newark, DE.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients as prescribed by the physician, under facility nursing leadership.
- Conduct individualized nursing care duties in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
- Assess PRN medications, document rationale, and record effectiveness.
- Report changes in patient physical or mental status and episodes of seclusion or restraint to the nurse manager or supervisor during each shift.
- Ensure family and physician notification when a patient is transported to Emergency Room, Injured, Falls, or placed in seclusion or restraints.
- Collaborate with team members to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Perform treatments and therapies as ordered by the physician promptly.
- Document patient care, findings, and psychosocial responses to nursing interventions.
- Initiate emergency measures according to age‑appropriate CPR and client resuscitation protocols.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and provide patient care in a non‑judgmental, culturally sensitive manner.
- Current license to practice nursing in DE (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Current CPR certification.
