Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for critically ill patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and therapeutic responses, adhering to treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner charting system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Support float assignments to other ICUs and step-down units as needed.
• Assist with advanced procedures such as SLEDD (continuous dialysis).

Required Qualifications

• Valid DE or Compact RN license in hand with license number and expiration date.
• Current certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Full SSN, date of birth, and address required.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required (no exceptions).
• Must have valid license and required certifications prior to submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with respiratory illnesses, GI bleed, drug overdose, and end-stage kidney disease.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
• Flexibility to float to other ICU and step-down units, including transitional units and surge spaces.
