Overview

Christiana Emergency Department operates on a 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. schedule. Christiana Hospital is designated by the state of Delaware and verified by the American College of Surgeons as the state’s only Level I trauma center for adults. As an integral part of Delaware’s trauma system, Christiana Care provides statewide leadership and assistance with trauma response, strategic planning and education.

Christiana Care’s trauma program collaborates with state and private emergency-management personnel throughout Delaware to ensure that every injured person receives high-quality care and the best possible chance for recovery. Our ED nurses care for patients experiencing medical, cardiac and trauma related emergencies. We seek an experienced Registered Nurse to care for the patients in our Christiana Emergency Department. Our ED nurses care for patients experiencing medical, cardiac and trauma related emergencies. The role includes providing registered nursing care, coordinating with the trauma team, and contributing to high-quality patient outcomes in a Level I trauma center.

• BSN required or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.
• At least one year of experience in a med/surgical unit or ED required.
• BLS required.

This is a Full Time Flex (72 hours per pay) position. We are offering a Day/Evening schedule with possibilities of 7 a.m.

- 7:30 p.m. and 11 a.m.

- 11:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday requirements per hospital practice.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including, without limitation, skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
