A&H Metals Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Laser Operator to join our fabrication shop team. This position plays a critical role in producing precision-cut components for custom commercial and industrial projects using our Trumpf fiber laser system.

You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser equipment to produce high-quality parts from steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, blueprint reading, tight tolerances, and quality control. • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC laser cutting machines (Trumpf fiber laser experience preferred).
• Load programs, adjust cutting parameters, and monitor cut quality and tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and CAD files accurately.
• Adjust part files as needed to compensate for tolerance discrepancies.
• Produce precise parts with clean edges and tight tolerances.
• Use precision measuring tools including calipers and micrometers to inspect finished components.
• Perform material staging, loading, and handling for laser operations.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with secondary fabrication processes including press brake forming, folding, shearing, punching, and deburring.
• Communicate job progress and production concerns with the Shop Manager and Project Coordinators.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support overtime and production schedules as needed to meet deadlines.

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CNC Laser Operator, Sheet Metal Laser Operator, or similar fabrication role.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Trumpf laser systems strongly preferred (previous Trumpf training is a plus but not required).
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with press brakes, punch presses, and other fabrication equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
