** a Facilities Specialist

** Role and Responsibilities
** The Facilities Specialist will perform a variety of skilled duties such as analysis on planning, preventive maintenance and production equipment repair.
• Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on buildings and building systems requested by clients.
• Prioritizes daily activities and work order scheduling. Keeps management informed on progress and delays of all preventive maintenance work orders, related jobs, and other repair activities to help assist with efficient and adequate utilization of staff and resources.

Ensures timely completion of properly authorized work orders in a cost effective manner.  
• Responds to client questions on contracted maintenance activities and decisions in resolving problems in a professional and timely manner.
• Interacts courteously with the client staff, vendors and public; maintains effective working relationships with other staff; cooperates with and follows directions of Supervisor to effectively meet departmental and client objectives.
• Strong knowledge of skilled trades, such as HVAC, electrical or carpentry

Excellent understanding of mechanical systems and parts  
• Participates in safety training and meetings and uses safe working practices at all times.  
• Responds to emergencies as requested and may coordinate after-hours work activities and repairs.  
• Inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety

Codes.
• Assists the Equipment Maintenance technicians on production line repairs, PM’s and Equipment/facility upgrades.
• Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Skills and Experience:

*** Preferred 3 + years equivalent of proven facilities experience
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Plus if you have knowledge of Computerized Maintenance
* Able to work efficiently with cross functional team
* Install and maintain highly technical mechanical equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations in a timely manner for an optimal production timeline that avoids lengthy periods without loss of business.
* Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery by following the recommended upkeep schedule throughout the life of the devices.
* Troubleshoot common issues with equipment and assist operators with getting back to a productive mode.
* Install highly technical mechanical equipment according to the manufacturer’s recommendations in a timely manner for an optimal production timeline that avoids lengthy periods without loss of business.
* Complete periodic maintenance of equipment and machinery by following the recommended upkeep schedule throughout the life of the devices.
* Troubleshoot common issues with equipment and assist operators with getting back to a productive mode.
* Ability to multitask and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
* Ability to understand and  resolve  facilities/Equipment repair issues independently
* Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and active listening)
* Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self-management with little to no oversight
* Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
* Strong requirement to have knowledge of MS Office including Power Point, Excel, and  Word
