Christiana Care is currently recruiting for a Full-time Specimen Processing Technician.
This is a Night Shift position, Monday - Friday 11:00PM to 7:30am; every other weekend and 2-3 holidays per year required.

In this role you will perform pre and post analytical functions that support the testing of specimens received in the General Laboratory.

Your resume must be attached to your application, and you must have prior lab experience or equivalent science coursework to be considered.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities
:

• Process, sort, and deliver laboratory specimens and request slips
• Print and properly affix identification labels to all incoming patient specimens
• Prioritize incoming work, ensuring samples for stat testing are delivered to the appropriate laboratory section in order to maintain stated turnaround times
• Communicate specimen priority to testing personnel upon delivery

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years applicable clinical experience working in a lab environment with specimens or equivalent college courses in the health care field preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69

This pay rate/range represents Christiana Care's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
