Seeking an ARRT-registered MRI Technologist for day-shift WIP weekend coverage at Christiana Care Newark Hospital to perform MRI procedures, manage imaging systems (RIS/HIS/PACS), ensure image quality and patient history documentation, and provide patient-centered care across all age groups. Requires completion of an associate degree in Radiology, ARRT registry (or passing MRI registry within two years if hired non-certified), and preferred 2 years' MRI experience and Siemens product familiarity.

Position offers full benefits, 403(b) match, PTO, and an hourly pay range of $38.22–$61.16.

Christiana Care's Imaging Department is currently recruiting for a MRI Technologist to work a WIP position at our Newark Hospital.

Schedule:

• 3 out of 4 weekends

• weekends dayshift

As a MRI Technologist:

• Performs MRI procedures as defined by departmental protocols

• Performs duties in RIS, HIS, and Intergy computer systems and accurately enter patient data.

• Completes transmission of optimum quality images to PACS system

• Ensures adequate history of patient is obtained and documented

• Performs QC and is able to digitize films

• Provides superior customer service to patients, family members, and all members of the health care team

• Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.

• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to [neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients], including knowledge of growth and development, the ability to obtain and interpret information to identify patient needs, and provide the care needed.

Requirements:

• Completion of ARRT registry required. (Successful completion of the MRI Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist who is recruited and non-certified in MRI will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam).

• Completion of a 2 year associates degree program in Radiology.

• 2 years’ experience as an MRI Technologist preferred

• Experience with Siemens products preferred
