Christiana Care Hospital is hiring a Clinical Program Specialist (RN) to support Cardiac Surgery patients for the Heart & Vascular Center.
ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Program Specialist works within a high-volume open-heart surgery team to facilitate the smooth execution of cardiac procedures by anticipating and troubleshooting problems, working collaboratively to facilitate case flow, expedite surgery and promote the patient experience. The role involves heavy operational coordination, from requesting diagnostic tests and ordering medications to scheduling surgeries and resolving potential workflow conflicts to optimize operating room utilization.
The specialist collaborates closely with anesthesia, heart failure teams, and financial coordinators to ensure all clinical and insurance requirements are met prior to the procedure.
- BSN required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of cardiovascular nursing experience required.
- Procedural training and experience preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of DE; BLS certification.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Full time – 80 hours – Bi-weekly (Monday through Friday, day shift)
- Office location is on site at Christiana Care – Newark Campus
- No Holidays, No Weekends, No Call
Annual Compensation Range $85,862.40 - $
