Overnight Receptionist – Rockford Center

Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in Delaware and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.
Position SummaryThe Front Desk Agent / Hall Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, staff, and visitors during the overnight shift at our behavioral health hospital. This role combines administrative duties at the front desk with monitoring activities throughout the facility to maintain a secure environment.
Responsibilities- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring that only authorized individuals enter.
- Conduct regular rounds of the facility, checking for any signs of disturbance or unauthorized activity and notify house supervisor.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents, following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of all activities, incidents, and visitors.
- Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges as needed.
- Assist with searching for patient records and belongings.
- Provide information and assistance to patients and visitors, including directions and hospital policies.
- Complete audits and data input for the facility as needed.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and administration to ensure a safe environment.
- Enforce hospital rules and regulations, including visitor policies and curfews.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in security or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a behavioral healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to conduct rounds and respond to emergencies.
