We are looking for a Full‑Time Cardiac Sonographer who will utilize our core values of Love & Excellence to provide the highest level of care to our patients.

Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) procedures at the request of physicians to assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. Assist with the clinical training of students and cardiology fellows associated with the Non‑Invasive Cardiovascular Lab.

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Document patient’s clinical history and technologist impressions on exam request forms.
• Assist the cardiologist with obtaining images and operating equipment during trans‑esophageal echocardiography.
• Assist in the instruction of cardiac ultrasound students and cardiology fellows during practice.
• Rotate on the on‑call schedule covering off‑hours and weekend shifts.
• Perform pediatric echocardiography, if experienced.
• Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to provide care appropriate to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

• Graduate of a medical diagnostic ultrasound program or other allied health profession or possess equivalent training.
• New graduates:
  Registry‑eligible and must sit for registry and become RDCS/RCS within the first year of employment.
• Pass the registry exam from either the ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS).
• CPR certification.

• 80 hours over two weeks
• Monday‑Friday 11:30‑20:00
• Holiday and call rotation required; flexibility with weekend coverage.
• Shift primarily at Christiana Hospital; occasional coverage at Wilmington Hospital may be requested.
